I agree on that. I however was bugged by the fact that when someone identifies the symbols then it is still a problem and not a proof of a ethereal soul because we must take in account the fact how many people have identified them(if its a small number of people then there can be some leakage) and how trivial or complicated were these symbols and if there was no leaking or feeding information to the patient by the interviewer like it happened many times.. Therefore I was asking this because I don't trust anecdotes and even the AWARE study because Parnia is a believer like Raymond Moody which brings more doubt and his other studies have failed and produced nothing. Also his answers were many times wrong - only playing with words and when some skeptic said that Parnia was wrong he then twisted his answer again. Therefore I don't trust AWARE.

We can't. In order to have rational scientific evidence and support the anecdotes must be removed by eliminating them using scientific measurements and testing or by corroborating the overwhelming majority of anecdotes as being identical and with a rational explanation for why they are identical. Even if the anecdotes are identical that does not provide evidence for a REAL experience but only says that the subjects all experience the same thing -- it may still be all in their minds and there may be rational scientific reasons for it.
