If the "plateau" continues, it gradually becomes a noteworthy deviation from trend. In just a few years, the current plateau would be cnocking the boundaries of variation, like 1976 and 1998 did.
That would be noteworthy, but still not yet credible evidence that warming has stopped, and not statistically significant deviation from the warming trend.
At some point though, if the plateau continued on and on, it would indeed become statistically significant. 30 years of plateau very likely would be that:
