Chemist pleads guilty to charges.

A chemist at a Massachusetts drug lab who admitted faking test results in criminal cases pleaded guilty Friday to obstruction of justice, perjury and tampering with evidence in a scandal that has jeopardized thousands of convictions.


I think in a case of fraudulent tests like this, all convictions should be stayed automatically. Where the test results were peripheral to the conviction (ie, there was other evidence which may have been sufficient for a conviction), a new trial should be granted.
