I think he realized that even without being banned, he was so thoroughly mocked that he prefers to leave. Given that, this was his version of, "HA, I got you guys!"
Of course, since he was identified as a troll almost instantly, the revelation of what KIND of troll is about as punchy and impressive as the man himself.
